Zero Killer: An Alternate History of Nuclear Ruin

Here's a link to a nice, thorough review of the Zero Killer trade/graphic novel.

Is there an award for "latest book"? But I bet there's a lot of competition for that one though.

Zero Killer Graphic Novel

Preview at DarkHorse.com

So the Graphic Novel for Zero Killer is coming out on August 4th, if you want it from your local shop you should still be able to order it, I'm not sure how much longer though. If not here's a couple links for ways to get it online, hopefully without the word "torrent" in there of course...

Still, despite the tantalizingly unexplored world, Zero Killer is a highly entertaining graphic novel that manages to combine an excellent setting, a fascinating mystery, and great action--all told through some of the finest art in the comics industry. In a time when event tie-ins and movie adaptations are on the rise, something as original and fresh as Zero Killer is a gem.

I also saw Dave Stewart is up for another Eisner Award, I'd like to think it was for Zero Killer. That's what I'll say if he wins.

Zero Killer: #1 Review

No, not by me (although that would be funny.).

The reviewer says "Speaking of the art, it's really something to behold. The colors are bold as hell, with wild yellow-greens and violet purples that just pop off the page. I loved it, and will definitely look for more of these artists' work." I'm getting a t-shirt with that quote on it for conventions.

Mr. Matt Staggs, your check is in the mail.

FCBD Photos

Wow, 2 of em! Anyway, I walked up to the Hollywood Things From Another World before the signing and saw this in the window, so cool. I asked if I could have one of them so now it's in my office.

Then Philip Simon (my editor/taskmaster) and I headed over to the Cosmic Monkey signing and I snapped this one of Andy's basement. So many comics...

And finally here's a review of the FCBD issue at The Comic Book Bin. He didn't mention my art but if he did I imagine he'd say it was "awesome".

Zero Killer

An interview with Arvid and a preview of the new book I've been working on is up on Newsarama. The pages are pretty low res on the site so here's a better version of pages 3 and 5.

Free Comic Book Day

I'm still not allowed to explain what the book I'm working on is called, or what it's about or show you any drawings but I CAN announce that I'm working on a small side story for Dark Horse's Free Comic Book Day issue. It will kind of tie into the main story, but really it's just a nice way to introduce the main character and the world he inhabits. And thankfully Dark Horse gave us the back cover (well it's a flip cover, so I'll just say it's the front), James Jean gets the other side. Now I have to draw the damn thing and see if I can show Mr. Jean up.

I hate smilies so just imaging a winking one or something to go with that last line.
